Natto, a traditional Japanese fermented dish, is made from cooked and fermented soybeans. The fermentation process with the bacterium Bacillus subtilis produces valuable nutrients such as vitamin K2 and the enzyme nattokinase. Vitamin K2 is needed, among other things, to transport calcium from the bloodstream to the bones; therefore, higher doses of vitamin D3 should not be taken alone. Vitamin K2 prevents calcium from being deposited in blood vessels and protects against vascular plaque buildup.
Dosage: 6 drops daily contain 90 mcg of vitamin K (120% of the recommended daily allowance).
