Tanacetum partenium is a wild growing plant in Europe and can be confused with chamomile because it is very similar to chamomile. The active ingredient pathenolide in the herbs relieves migraine attacks, has a soothing and digestive effect. The motherwort should be taken over a long period of time for the effect to take place.
Nurture inhibits inflammation and pain in rheumatism and arthritis (inhibits prostaglandin formation and histamine release as well as blood platelet clumping) and lowers fever. Because the herb improves blood circulation, it can trigger menstruation. It is therefore not to be administered during pregnancy, lactation, in small children.
