The capsules contain herbal extracts (from blueberries, marigolds, ginkgo), which optimally nourish the eyes and thus prevent eye diseases. Blueberry anthocyanosides, which give it its dark purple color, prevent capillary fragility and blood capillary permeability, thin blood and ensure good blood circulation, especially in the eyes. Lutein and zeaxanthin are orange-yellow carotenoids of plant origin that can be found in the yellow spot of the human retina and protect the visual cells from short-wave light and free radicals. Scientific studies indicate that an adequate supply of these pigments may reduce the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration and cataracts and influence their progression. The lutein and zeaxanthin are ingested exclusively with food, mainly from plant sources. In the capsules, the pigments come from marigold and French marigold. Ginkgo biloba leaves increase blood flow in the head area (brain, ears, eyes) and improve brain performance, memory and concentration. They thin the blood and widen the blood vessels in this area, thereby intensifying the metabolism and the supply of oxygen. The capsules are especially recommended for people of advanced age to prevent pathological changes in the eyes.
