Chaga extract, vital mushroom for immune system
The Haga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a parasitic wood inhabitant that forms a black Chaga tuber on birch and alder. It occurs in Russia, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, Japan, Korea and Central Asia (Kazakhstan). The tubers are traditionally used in medicine in these countries and drunk as a hot water extract. It is traditionally used there for tumors, for prevention and accompanying support, especially for lung cancer, stomach and colon cancer, and skin cancer. According to Wikipedia, laboratory and animal tests have confirmed the anti-cancer effect, but clinical studies are still pending. Wikipedia reports that extracts from Chaga tubers stimulate the immune system, have an anti-inflammatory effect (especially good for the stomach and intestines), protect the liver and pancreas. The Chaga mushroom is said to have a positive effect on cholesterol levels and blood pressure. Chaga extracts are also used to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy and as a general strengthening agent for skin diseases, psoriasis (anti-inflammatory effect).
