Scutellaria baicalensis is native to Asia and is widely used there in traditional Asian medicine. The Baikal skullcap is rich in flavonoids and the like. a. on Baikalin, has an antioxidant effect and is used for many ailments. Skullcap fights bacteria, viruses and fungi (Candida), also in the gastrointestinal area, which can manifest themselves through diarrhea and lowers fever.
